HOMOEOPATHY & DIABETES

Spread of diabetes has been phenomenal in the last few decades. Young school going children suffering from diabetes are on the way to become a common occurrence. Absence of a cure for diabetes further serves to frustrate the diabetics and their immediate families. Of course family here includes everyone involved in supporting a patient. There are a large number of resources and support groups which can do little except making diabetics live a little longer and with a somewhat better quality of life.
Diabetes has been treated traditionally with a combination of dietary restrictions and insulin. It is torturous, particularly for the young children, to say the least. Such daily dose of administered insulin goes on increasing in most cases and the patient has to live with its side effects. Suffering goes on increasing and so do the number of additional problems induced by insulin of a synthetic or animal origin. Counseling can do little in alleviating suffering focused as it is on an acceptance of the status by the patient.
Like most other conditions considered a disease by the medical fraternity diabetes is not a disease but only a symptom of a preexisting malady within. This neglect of the preexisting disease allows it to grow unchecked and uncontrolled. Homeopathy not only recognizes that but also has the capacity to treat and cure it through a medicine similar in its symptoms to the symptoms exhibited by the patient. Just like all other diseases diabetes is only an outward manifestation of a derangement of the life force within.
Homeopathy alone is capable of identifying and treating such derangements of life force within because it is the only system with its unique curative principle and a method for preparing dilutions which retain the curative essence of the medicines for quick relief and elimination of the disease persisting within. Homeopathy has well developed systems and methods to immunize a child to be born during pregnancy while still in its fetal state to protect her from such derangements. This makes homeopathy the only true preventive for all kinds of chronic diseases afflicting human beings.
Diabetes can be always cured by homeopathy given the time and opportunity before a damage to internal organs has been done. Damage does not include a slow functioning or inefficient functioning of some internal organ. Lastly, it may be well remembered that if a homeopath fails to cure a patient, it can only be a reflection on the capabilities of the practitioner and not on the curative potential of homeopathy.

HOMEOPATHY - MEDICINAL SUBSTANCES

Calling homeopathy names such as witchcraft or wizardry cannot banish it from the face of earth. Homeopathy shall always remain established as the true healing science and art which it is. Sound curative principle of homeopathy makes it the potential cure for all possible ailments afflicting mankind despite many of them having been deemed incurable by the traditional medicine.
Another beautiful discovery of homeopathy is that of medicinal substances. It was found that homeopathic medicines in their crude form aggravated the symptoms occasionally. It became necessary to reduce the dose. Initially it was attempted to reduce the dose to achieve a reduction in the degree of such aggravations. Finally even a quantity of medicine absorbed by one small globule of cane sugar was found to be too much for some patients. There was a need to reduce the dose further.
It was at that stage that many experiments of Hahneman led him to the discovery of dilution. He found that latent curative potential of a medicine could be enhanced by diluting it with rectified spirit and strongly shaking the bottle. He found that a very small quantity of the resulting diluted solution worked as well as and sometimes even better than the original medicine.
First requirement was that of standardization. It was solved by making each degree of dilution a one percent solution of the previous degree in rectified spirit followed by the process of strongly shaking the bottle. Note that these successive dilutions are not diluted solutions of the medicine.
Further research led Hahneman to conclude that pure water, ethyl alcohol and cane sugar served the purpose equally well, if correctly used to prepare dilutions. He named these as medicinal substances, defining a true medicinal substance as one with no curative or medicinal properties of its own but which absorbs the medicinal properties of any substance which is mixed with it
Thus we know that pure water, ethyl alcohol and cane sugar are three truly medicinal substances. They are pure food and create no symptoms when given to a normal person. As a corollary these substances have no medicinal properties of their own. However, when dilutions of a medicine are prepared using one of these substances, the dilutions retain the medicinal properties of that medicine.
We see that preparation of dilutions is an extremely well defined process and it can be carried out only with a medicinal substance. Subsequent researches have come to accept sugar of milk also as a medicinal substance though ethyl alcohol remains the most preferred medium. The reason for this preference appears to be its preservative properties, which make the dilutions last practically without any expiry date.
Of course, the dilutions have to be kept carefully stored away form direct sun light or ultraviolet light of any kind and no substance with a strong smell kept in the vicinity of the medicine. One may find it unbelievable but I can personally testify to having used medicines up to twenty year old which worked as well as they had worked when fresh.

HOMEOPATHY – DILUTIONS

Trickiest part of homeopathy that never fails to irritate traditional doctors is its concept of dilutions. After his discovery of the great curative principle – the law of similarity – its founder set about applying it on himself and his patients for treatment. He soon found that the substances which gave rise to a range of symptoms in a healthy person did cure a patient with sufficient similarity of symptoms.
But there was a draw back. In many cases, the substance aggravated the symptoms in the patient before it affected a cure and in some cases these aggravations were prolonged. This led to further research and discovery of dilutions. He found that simply diluting a medicine before giving it to a patient was not enough. He discovered that if a medicine is diluted with 100% pure alcohol in the ration of 1:99 and the solution is shaken strongly twice, the resulting 1% solution retains most curative properties but in a refined form and does not give rise to the unwanted aggravations in as many cases.
Taking the analogy further he named the original medicine in its pure or crude form the mother tincture and its 1% solution in pure ethyl alcohol the first dilution and went on to prepare a 1% solution of the first dilution with a strong shake and called it the second dilution.
A repetition of the process led to creation of further dilutions. He found that third, sixth twelfth and thirtieth dilutions were more effective in curing the sick. Any student of mathematics will tell you that third dilution contains only a millionth part of the original medicine. If you add this knowledge with a little chemistry and Avogadro’s number, you will know that probability of a dilution beyond twelfth containing even a single molecule of the original medicine is zero.
It cures the sick nevertheless and this unsolvable paradox of homeopathy is impossible to be understood at the present stage of our knowledge of medical science. This evidence of their ignorance never fails to irritate traditional doctors as it shows the hollow foundation of knowledge on which their system has been erected.

HOMEOPATHY – A GREAT PALLIATIVE

Far too many cases of terminal illnesses will find the patient suffering agonies of pain. The agony is such that in a large number of such cases the patient with his near relatives would wish that euthanasia were legal. Homeopathy can provide relief from pain and reduce suffering in most such cases – that too without any of the harmful side effects of pain killers associated with traditional treatment and at an infinitesimal fraction of the cost of traditional pain killers.
But these doctors will never let you use them. On the one hand they equate homeopathy with witchcraft, while on the other hand they are so afraid of homeopathy that they banish all homeopathic medicines from their hospitals. They will threaten the patients with dire consequences, and will go to the extent of abandoning him, should he seek their advice for trying a homeopathic medicine.
If homeopathy is witchcraft then why should they be afraid? They can let the patient take homeopathic medicines side by side and if his pain is reduced or eliminated, it should be a cause for celebration.
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was in the news recently due to a diagnosis of liver cirrhosis. I have seen a patient suffering with it. It happens to be most torturous of the cancers. To begin with there are dietary restrictions as the patient cannot digest fats and spices. This is followed by shooting pains in the liver, abdomen and a swelling in the legs with many other complications.
There is no known cure as yet. But homeopathy can do wonders to give the patient a peaceful tranquil life till he survives. It can also help him live normally to a very large extent instead of an incapacitated life which traditional medicine will surely force him into.
Bur if that course is followed none makes money. Traditional treatments will require frequent hospitalizations and a lot of pathological tests at a huge cost to the patient. Fear of sure death lurching in his mind, the patient will willingly pay. He will be thankful for the pain inflicted during these tests under a false notion that all that was being done to increase his life by a few more days.
Alas! He will die anyway and all that treatment will only serve to increase his suffering irrespective of how many thousands or millions he adds to the bank balance of his physicians and surgeons. Furthermore, because of the adverse publicity given to homeopathy and the fear of these same physicians, the patient will never think of trying homeopathy.

CURATIVE PRINCIPLE OF HOMOEOPATHY

Hahneman was a traditional doctor. His disillusionment with the traditional system was preceded by the premature death of his children in infancy. His sense of reason combined with the faith that death of so many children could not be His will made him study all the traditional systems of medicine and experiment. This research finally led to the discovery of homoeopathy and its curative principle called the “Law of Similarity”.

This principle that a substance creating symptoms of a disease in a normal person is the cure for a sick person with similar symptoms of the disease is neither witchcraft nor wizardry nor does it provide a psychological alleviation of symptoms. It is the only true curative principle which exists. Its efficacy and successes are a plenty despite the maligning campaigns that continue to be launched and pursued with vigor by traditional allopathic doctors.

Hahneman’s first successes were survival and good health of his children and his own perfect health without which he could not have pursued his further research in homeopathy with rare zeal and enthusiasm. He treated a very large number of patients who had been given up by the traditional practitioners as incurable and frantically wrote books on the new system.

A large number of doctors try and use homeopathic medicines surreptitiously. Thuja is a medicine which can cure warts when the symptoms agree. This knowledge has given rise to a wide range of Thuja ointments for warts freely prescribed by a large number of skin specialists. It is not homeopathy. The fact that these ointments do cure some cases of warts only goes to prove the efficacy of homeopathy, because when symptoms match even touching a medicine or sniffing it is sufficient to affect cure in many cases.

There is one serious problem when traditional doctors come to study homeopathy. They want to know how the medicines work, when medicines of a potency (or dilution) higher than 6 fail to show any trace of original substance in the medicine. What further infuriates them is the fact that dilutions up to a millionth are prepared and used regularly by homeopaths all over the world.

The reason for this is not far to seek. At every stage of development of sciences (mathematics included) the popular beliefs have tried to obstruct new discoveries, punish them as witchcraft and actually kill the researchers. The problem with allopathic practitioners is the assumption that the last word on anatomy and chemistry of the human body has been written and there is nothing unknown to them. They are loath to admit that there could be processes and parts that they are yet to discover.

This puts all those allopathic practitioners forever in the denial mode. The prejudice is so strong that none is willing to even experiment. The main reason behind all these prejudices against homeopathy is the pecuniary interest. Pharmacology of homeopathic medicines is plain and simple and there are no new processes or medicines that can be patented. Thus there are no vast sums of money to be made as grants or profits to be made by selling medicines at 2000 percent or more of value addition.

That is the crux of the matter. Why accept and support a system that is efficient and successful but which will never help a practitioner grow rich and afford the luxurious life all these doctors have become accustomed to.

A CURE FOR THE INCURABLE - HOMOEOPATHY

Homeopathy has been often maligned as witchcraft ignoring the fact that it happens to be the only scientific system for healing. Homeopathy discovered and first propagated by a German Physician Samuel Hahneman is easy to learn and practice. This system provides the cheapest cure with quickest healing for all kind of maladies afflicting mankind. Traditional practitioners of medicine, the popular allopathic physicians and surgeons refuse to see reason. It is fashionable among them to bash homeopathy as witchcraft simply because its simple principles are beyond comprehension by their limited intelligence.

Homeopathy and the logic inherent in homoeopathic system founded on sound principle “a substance that creates certain symptoms of a disease in healthy humans is the cure for a sick with like symptoms” poses the biggest threat to the traditional doctors and medical associations, who have everything to lose once homeopathy gains wider acceptance.

Homeopathy happens to be the only system that can potentially cure most of so called genetic diseases through what a homeopath calls constitutional remedies. These medicines are so mild that there are no side effects and yet they act so strongly on the systemic disorder as to change the constitution of the patient forever and rid him of the genetic diseases.

Homeopathy has a cure for all lifestyle diseases. It does cure hypertension and all kinds of diabetes and heart disorders. It cures with speed, seldom requires recourse to surgery and ensures a lasting healthy life. It provides another advantage to the patient, who need not depend on medicines for the rest of his life. This saves the patient form the horror of gradually increasing doses of poisons fed by the traditional doctors.

Homoeopathic medicines provide relief in all kinds of ailments without exception. The patient is cured at almost a zero cost of medicine as the cost of a dose in homeopathy rarely exceeds $0.01 – Yes, that’s right - one cent.

Homeopathy has an huge range of preventives and palliatives, which gives it the potential to eliminate diseases and prevent them. Its unique set of medicines can free the children to be born of all chronic or hereditary diseases, if the mothers to be are treated during pregnancy.

All this and more is suppressed knowledge due to vested interests of the allopathic system. They malign homeopathy as witchcraft. They make sure that there are no grants to further research in homeopathy.

Homeopathy has survived for centuries due to its powers to provide cure It has cured victims of decades of traditional treatment, who had gotten worse and considered themselves hopeless. Every once in a while the fear of traditional doctors (allopath) awakens that if left unchecked, the homeopathy will establish itself as the only science and art of healing. This prompts a fresh round of baseless maligning insinuations. Right now a campaign is on to malign homeopathy as witchcraft. The perpetrators of this malicious campaign and the readers will do well to remember that Euclid, Copernicus and Galileo besides many others had also been blamed of witchcraft when their scientific discoveries could not be understood by the well organized vested interests of their time.
